Message from the Principal
Welcome to the Hollingsworth East Elementary School website!
Hollingsworth East Elementary is a place for preschoolers through second graders to come to learn, to grow and to become excited about learning. It is our goal to provide a safe and comfortable learning environment that challenges children to be their own personal best. We strive to develop the “whole child” academically, socially, and emotionally. Our highly-qualified staff works together in providing instruction as well as learning opportunities for the children to grow in all three areas. We welcome the opportunity to come along side of our families in working together to serve each child. Providing excellent service to our children and their families is of high importance to us and stands out as one of our school values. It is our belief that by intentionally working together, students, parents, family members, staff and community members will be able to create success for every child.
It is my privilege to serve as the building principal! I believe it is going to be an exciting season of learning, growing, and building community at East Elementary. Registering your child for kindergarten is an exciting first step toward their educational journey.
Our kindergarten program is designed to create a warm, nurturing environment where young learners feel supported as they explore new concepts and skills. The registration process is simple, with friendly staff available to guide you through each step, from gathering the necessary documents to selecting the best-fit program for your child. Early registration also ensures access to a range of resources, including family orientation sessions and school readiness information. We’re eager to partner with you to make this transition smooth and welcoming, laying a strong foundation for your child’s academic success.
Welcome incoming Kindergarteners! Our Open House (for Kg only) will be Monday, August 18th from 5:00-6:30.
You should receive a link to schedule for screening prior to August. The dates for screening will be 8/12, 8/13, 8/14, and 8/15 between the hours of 9:00-3:00. Kindergarteners with the last name A-L only will come to school 8/19. Kindergarteners with the last name M-Z only will come to school 8/20. ALL Kg students will come on 8/21 and every school day following.
The first day of school for our first and second graders for the 2025/2026 school year is Wednesday August 13th.
